Investigating writing difficulties in essay writing: Tertiary students’ perspectives

چکیده

This study is primarily designed for investigating the tertiary students’ perspectives on writing difficulties of essays. was conducted in explanatory research which quantitative and qualitative data were obtained from web-based questionnaire semi-structured interview, then analyzed separately. 21 undergraduate students have enrolled survey 6 them invited to interview section. reveals students' problems essay course are categorized into: affective raise lecturers’ attitude while teaching learning Essay Writing Course, cognitive that considered as areas viewpoint, transferring language, process writing, linguistic area lexico-grammar, vocabulary, structure essay. Due findings, those aspects academic should be serious attention both EFL teachers overcome problems. The findings this implications designers basic material improvement researchers particularly realms language education.
